The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment involving heat treatment, cold forming or large press machining.
Essential Functions:
Maintain operation of machinery by completing preventative maintenance requirements on all production equipment.
Perform minor building maintenance, including problems with heating, plumbing, electrical and structural.
Strong trouble shooting abilities to locate source of problems by observing device, listening for problems, and using testing instruments.
Follow manufacturer's instructions, engineering specifications, sketches, operation manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
Welding, altering, and fabrication of components on machinery using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications ADDITIONAL
Responsibilities:
Movement of equipment, both internal and external Removal of defective components using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools Assist in safety and housekeeping repairs Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Performs other duties as assigned Look up spare parts in computer Fill out work orders and repair slips JOB
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach Hi-Lo, manlift, and crane license is required ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:
Noise - Heavy machinery Chemicals, oils, acids, sprays, coolants and solvents.
Batteries and propane Temperature fluxuations Enclosed spaces Added responsibility as outlined in the Environmental Management System CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Training to be completed annually Please refer to training matrix You should be proficient in:
