You must be able to coordinate all the patients that are due for their labs as well as be organized with the appropriate paper work and collection.
This is a full-time positions in Lapeer/North Branch area.
Coordinate and facilitate the collection of specimens to be processed at our laboratory Provide instruction to patients on how to provide urine, oral, nasal and/or blood specimens.
Proper labeling of specimens, completion of requisitions and all other needed information.
Prepare specimens and requisition forms, including packaging of the specimens into biohazard bags for shipping.
Responsible for ensuring samples are shipped to lab in the appropriate amount of time and supporting records/manifests are maintained.
Obtain billing information, including copies of patient insurance cards and demographic information.
Ensuring the accurate completion of requisitions forms and assisting with all missing information requests when needed.
Confirming reports are generated by laboratory for specimens processed and facilitating inquiries to laboratory.
Thorough knowledge of all processes and will act as liaison between clinic and laboratory.
